Below are the Success Stories of amazing people across Hertfordshire who volunteer their time to support their local community. They all discovered their diverse volunteer roles through #TeamHerts Volunteering (#THV). #THV are passionate about championing and celebrating volunteers across the county and we would love to hear from YOU! In May 2022, Jarvis Contracting held a company-wide event to help communities across Hertfordshire.


 After 10 months, 136 volunteers and 4000 boxes sorted, this incredible effort by a committed team of volunteers came to an end on Thursday 30th June.

At the beginning of June, we celebrated Volunteers' Week and many organisations chose to mark the occasion in different ways.


In June, DLRC Ltd used their annual team building days for good and volunteered their time to support a local not-for-profit, Church Farm Ardeley.

People who volunteer are healthier and happier - there are studies to prove it! Volunteering can boost your confidence, teach you new skills, and enhance your overall sense of wellbeing.

 #TeamHerts Volunteering  (#THV) have been working closely with HCC’s LDD team to provide a wide range of volunteering opportunities for individuals with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Marian is an inspiring volunteer who volunteers for a range of organisations in lots of different ways. We spoke to Marion to hear all about ther fantastic volunteering journey

 North Herts Crusaders had their season put on hold by Covid-19. They decided to be proactive in supporting their community by volunteering their time and skills to help those most in need.

All Sorts Dementia Group is a fun & relaxed group located in Ware for people with mild to moderate Dementia who want to socialise in an understanding environment whilst loved ones gain much-needed breaks from their caring roles. One of their volunteers tells us about their time volunteering with All Sorts.

The Shared care scheme gives support to families with children and young people under 18, who have learning or physical disabilities. Ann tells #TeamHerts Volunteering her story of being a volunteer.
